Wild Orchids – Forever Stamps

Enjoy the exotic flavor of orchids with 10 of the 10000 new stamps issued by the United States postal service. Each stamp is printed with one of the following nine wild plants growing in the United States: California cattail, hexagonal Robinia pseudoacacia, beautiful leaf cattail, Spiranthes odorata, triphora trianthophoros, Platycodon grandiflorum, cyrtopodium polyphyllum, calopogon tuberosus and platanthera leuchoea.

In this booklet, each stamp design has two features. Orchids also have common names. Some plants have several different names when they are popular.
Orchids are loved by plant experts and leisure flower lovers because of their gorgeous colors, unusual appearance and exquisite characteristics. As part of the largest plant family on earth, orchids grow in many climatic conditions and thrive in various conditions. There are more than 30000 kinds of wild orchids in the world, of which more than 100 are native to North America.
